It wasn't necessarily an unlawful stop, but there was no lawful reason for detention and once he realized it had dealer tags he should have let him go or called it in for advice

Discussing anything involving the police with some people is a waste of time when they state they hate cops. When someone is that incensed with their emotions over a group of people, it's really not possible to have a decent discussion over this kind of topic.

Surely you aren't blanketing an entire group of people based on a few idiots in the bunch, right?

Do you believe body slamming a 76 year old man and tasing him twice during a bogus and unlawful traffic stop is okay?
Read the article, even the police chief said the officer was wrong doing what he did.

Pathetic to characterize the majority of police officers and police departments as racist when what we are seeing splashed all over the news are the exceptions to the rule, not the norm. The abuses need to be addressed vigorously, but every day there are many many police officers who are doing the right thing for all of those they are responsible to protect.
