Stay with me Bro. I know this is hard for a UC to grasp. When you watch a computer screen that is playing hollywood programming, it is not TV!

So to me it is not defined and must be defined by the ministry.
Why do you think it is the /ministry's/ right/responsibility to define it? I think that the scripture teaches born again believers to "work out their own salvation with fear and trembling".

Paul calls saints to grow to maturity and what may be a weight or hinderance to one may not be so to another. To give all the control to the /ministry/ takes away the control of God on individual's lives, and also interferes with the Biblical hierarchy for the home...which is the husband's mandated responsibility.

Blessings, Rhoni

What a novel concept ... the priesthood of all believers.

So do I .... it would be the figurative final nail in the UC coffin.

I remember, back in the day, that the young ladies in our church were not able to wear maxi dresses [even though they were more modest than the knee length styles] until after the Pastor's daughter did so.

I also remember not being allowed to go to King's Island or Cedar point until the Pastor's son talked his father into it and took us all for the first time as a group.

There was absolutely no divorce allowed or preached even as far as the 'innocent party' doctrine until after the Pastor's daughter got a divorce and married the most elligible evangelist.

I think that the ministry takes too much responsibility on themselves which actually sets themselves up for a fall from the pedestal.

Just my opinion as seen through the veil of my past experience.

Blessings, Rhoni

Our manual also mentions any type of Hollywood or commercial film as seen on television or at the theater. So it would be covered on whatever I watched it on.
