If EVERYTHING is Bigger in Texas.......

If Everything is Bigger in Texas............

Why aren't there more Apostolic churches?

I travel to Fort Worth a couple-three times a year to visit family. Every time I visit, they beg me to come start a church. Please understand, I have no desire to do so, as of yet. But when I visit Fort Worth, and travel around the city, it is a huge culture shock to me. There are so many ethnicities represented in that area. The last time I visited the mall there, I was the minority.

When I'm there, I attend the largest UPC church in the area. Great pastor and people! Awesome worship, and wonderful attendance. But it is a church that is over 90% caucasian.

The area is booming! My cousin is a land developer, and can't keep up with the demand for his services.

I write this knowing that there are huge Charismatic churches in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Is there a reason why we don't have more, and bigger, churches in that area? Are there no efforts to reach the enormous Asian and Hispanic populations? Did we get a late start there?

This is not a slam against the churches and ministers of that area.
I am just curious.

I have had a series of dreams about it. I have not determined if they are from God, or a product of many people imploring me to move there.

There is no personal desire to go. It would have to be a God thing. I'm happy pastoring where I am at.
