I would have said it was the same as the real thing but I didn't want to mislead. What I was saying was that if he ran for president having a record of it would legally substitute for an actual long form BC in order to establish his natural born status IMO.

What you may be speaking of is when I quoted a government official that verified Obama was born in Hawaii. I don't believe the person I quoted was the governor, though I could be wrong.

Anyways, getting back on track, his COLB originated from the state of Hawaii and all their practices and procedures for issuing one. His COLB declares he was born in Hawaii. It was not issued by the governor but by the practices and procedures Hawaii has in place for issuing COLB's.

jfrog why do business people who accept money from customers have some kind of pen that they mark $20's and $100's with before they accept them, to make sure they are not counterfeit?

With $2,000,000 having been spent by Obama fighting the Birth Certificate issue, don't you think that could have bought a counterfeit COLB, a document without signatures, (no one has to stick their neck out to sign it.) I'm not saying that happened but when the Governor suddenly can't find the Birth Certificate something is fishy.

And by the way, if you lose your birth certificate you can go back to the place of birth and they can issue you another certified copy. Why doesn't the governor do this? Surely he has access to the records bureau and should be able to get an original copy of the birth certificate immediately.

There are just too many unanswered questions to just sweep this under the rug. And in a moment of time Obama could stop all this if he has an original BC by simply laying it on the table.

To take such a hard stand on some Americans that simply ask for the same piece of paper that they ask McCain for, certainly does not speak well for the intentions of those making fun of birthers.

If you got nothing to hide then shell out the evidence.

It's tough to prove a negative, but easy to prove a positive birth. Put your original BC on the table and it's done!

I'm not asking you to prove he wasn't born here. I am asking you to prove a positive, that he was born in Kenya (that is where you claim he was born right?)

Anyways, as fishy as the 2mil spent is, the money alone doesn't tell us his COLB is fake it only tells us something, (it could be nearly anything) is fishy. So the money spent alone isn't an argument that he wasn't born in Hawaii.

Well, the way I see it, with so much unrest in the world and this country, the issue will only cause some laws to be written that handle this very thing in the future. So, the ramblings about it can't be all that bad. It will settle the issue for anything coming down the pike. I can live with that.

With Sharia Law looming in our future, we sure want to know what someone's religion is. That has always been important to Americans. Of course, the Muslims get to practice "taqiyya", which is the strangest religious practice of all - "concealing your faith under threat, persecution or under compulsion." In other words, if honor demands, lying is imperative.

I wanted to add that the McCain controversy didn't have to do with his BC. It had to do with him being born on a military base.

I think the Sharia Law thing isn't a concern.

As Ferd tried to explain and as I tried to explain there are many reasons he might choose not to. My guess is that the long form BC is not there and he is hiding this. Ferd guessed it is a political move to lump conservatives and crazy birthers together. I can see some possible truth to that too.
