Re: What would you do in this case?
I would just tell the dude look this is unchrist like and he needs to not claim what God gave to another under HIS anointing as his own! It is fine to use it but when you go messing with that it is lying and a sin! Yep pretty clear and if youd like I can tell him fer ya LOL TIC!

Re: What would you do in this case?
Sad and pitiful. But hey, my SIL might have been right, anyone can just take a message from Preachit and use it however they would like.
My advice Michael, is from now on put your name on your sermons. Which I thought preachers did anyway. lol

I'm going to let it go. He knows and I know, that's the end of the story.
I don't care who preaches the messages, that's why I put them on the website. However, to post it again on another forum as his message was a bit unethical in my book.
But, either way, this story is done! God bless him!

Re: What would you do in this case?
I was pleasantly surprised to read an email from this good brother this evening, apologizing for the misunderstanding. He told me that he has several things sent to him from time to time, and sometimes he doesn't know who the original author is, and he uses the material for his daily devotions.
I totally understand that, and I thanked him for his integrity.
So, all's well that ends well!

Well good now we can only hope that if he has done the same with other sermons from there he will have the same integrity to do for them as he has done for you. I know this was not a matter of who getting credit for what but the fact that something was done out of known untruthfulness and I am so glad it was fixed!

Actually I am not a member. I heard this story at ALJC campmeeting in Olla, LA. I wrote it down and I have preached it several times. As we know there is no new thing under the heavens. It is a great thought though.

Mike, Nice of you to let it go. But it looks like he lied first, then thought better of it and apologized to you privately. He must have been going through all sorts of mental acrobatics trying to justify his actions. But in the end decided to do the right thing and admit his error.
Did he ever give you credit for the sermon on EA or did he have them take it down? Or did he just let them leave it up and continue to take the credit?
Oh well...I'm sure many will be blessed (by YOUR sermon) and that's a good thing. PTL!

Dora,
He did put my name on the message on EA, which is NOT what I had asked him to do. However, you may be right, he could have realized after his first message that this was not the one he heard at a camp meeting.
Either way, I would have let it go - this just makes me respect the brother a bit more.
