They had a snack time where they baked these rolls of dough they had wrapped around a marshmellow and then rolled in cinnamon. They compared the marshmellow to Jesus and the dough to the tomb and when they opened them up when they ate them the marshmellow was gone and they compared that to the resurection.
Well in their actual lesson that night they were asking the kids questions during the lesson to help reinforce the learning process and the teacher asked what happened to Jesus after they buried him in the tomb. Then she encouraged an answer by saying what happened to the marshmellow in your treat?
One little girl got so excited and started yelling I know I know. They asked her what happened to Jesus and she yelled out "He melted"
I was kicked out of the class and asked not to return.
I still get a good laugh out of that one every now and then

That is, I understand a neccessary precaution. And that is sad also.

Re: It finally happened....

Steve, I can't believe you finally showed up and I was relaxing at HOME!!! LOL! You'll have to come back another time. Wednesday nights are awesome. If you had gone on in Wed. though, you would have found Philip T., since his wife is over VBS all week. She has him working too!

If you show up this next week, I will not be there (out of town), but be sure and introduce yourself to Eddie as one of my imaginary friends. He will know you're from AFF!

Well, our town is very small and most of us aren't strange. I do understand though, and this was back when my kids were young.
The scary thing is that even small towns aren't safe anymore. I have just been torn up over those little 11 and 13 year old girls in rural Oklahoma that were shut multiple times Sunday walking down a rural road near their little town of 1,000 people.

Now they are saying they were shot with more than one gun so they believe there are at least two killers.

Those little girls were only out of touch for 25 minutes before the ones grandfather started looking for them and found them dead in a ditch just 1/4 mile from home.
