I served in the Army as a 19K (M1 Tank Crewman) and transfered, changing my MOS to 91b10 (Combat Medical Specialist). I don't own one right now, but I love a good firearm.

Have not read entire thread, so forgive me if this has already been posted.

IMO, the absolute best home defense weapon is a 12 guage pump.

You don't have to be a marksman for it to be effective, little chance of bullet going beyond your walls, and putting a shell in the chamber is one of the frightening sounds a criminal can imagine in a dark house!
