Guys like Parsely and Jakes have learned to say a lot without exactly saying anything flat our wrong, but at the same time not telling you the most important thing of all--how to be saved.

I don't know about Parsely... but I would venture to say many thousands have been saved through the ministry of Jakes - even by your own definition.

I agree. It just bugs OTP's that they don't present Jesus name baptism and the baptism of the Holy Ghost as a do or die proposition.

It is ironic though that the end result of many of the PCI preachers ministry is that more people are baptized in Jesus name and receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost than the hard core PAJC types.

I am thinking in particular of churches like Mike Hayes in the Dallas area that has over 10,000 members the last I heard, TD Jakes who has something like 25,000 members in the same area, Christ Church in Nashville with about 4,000 members, and then some smaller but still large successful churchs in the Houston area, etc.

The churches mentioned above almost certainly have more people in them that have been baptized in Jesus Name and have received the baptism of the Holy Ghost than all of the UPC churches in their area put together.

So you are saying that in 3 days of campmeeting, no one ever got "saved"? No alter calls? No sinners prayers??

OP's screw up salvtion with dress codes and legalism... The difference between the two are?????? I can't see much difference between saying sinner's prayer for salvation and shedding the sinner's modest clothing for salvation.

My father said the Sunday Jakes opened they took in 4000 members remember W.V. Grant was there before. I doubt if the majority of these folks have been baptized in Jesus Name.
