If you are near either of these locations, please come see us and say hello!
We had a great time sharing testimony at both of these events.

We are thankful the presence of the Lord met us there and we were inspired. One lady was filled withthe Spirit evidenced by speaking in tongues (first time) this morning.

Both are progressive churches and reaching people in their communities. Their hospitality was also great!

It is so nice to meet people around the country. we were blessed to attend several OP churches in the last few weeks. I am posting from Springfield IL. where we have a business session tomorrow.

Stephen,

Glad your meetings went well. Are you going to post a more extensive report about them?

I wonder if that church in Murfreesboro is one there that occasionally Pastor Hardwick and others from my church go speak at?

Here is the heart of the testimony we have shared with churches of several denominations. http://ninetyandnine.com/Archives/20070723/cover.htm

Of course it is a bit more in detail, and includes more behind the scenes commentary.

In the case of Herrick, we all watched the show prior to us speaking. I am much more comfortable sweeping chimneys myself.... ...but this has been a wonderful thing God has done in the lives of the Hoover and Meeks families.

Bro Hardwick preached the dedication service at Christ Community Church in Murphysboro last fall.

Interestingly our TV exposure hardly covered me in my chimney sweeping role - even though they had quite a bit of coverage. I did get several people who specifically stated they called because of the show. There was no mention of my company's name so it required some research on their part.

After we completed a $2,500.00 last Friday, the homeowner let me know that his wifes hairdresser, who is a longtime customer of mine, had encouraged them to watch the Hoover/Meeks Wife Swap rerun. After watching, they got my company name from the hairdresser and contacted me for the job.

I am thankful for these blessings that God has sent my way.

It still amazes me that so many people recognize your family as was evident in the restaurant the other night!

A couple kept looking at us while we were eating - everytime I would look up they were looking and talking and I wondered what they were looking at, then it hit me that they recognized the Hoovers. About that time, the waiter actually asked them if they were on Wife Swap!

We liked it alot at first... we could never go into a public place without people asking questions. We would always try to use it as a witnessing tool. Now it is still once a day or so on my jobs. It can be somewhat frustrating when they want to discuss details and I am on a tight schedule. I have some cards made up that I give them and it directs them to our web site. (I should have given the waiter one) they will often then respond and further communicate by e-mail.

It's a great opportunity to talk about God for sure, but I bet it does get somewhat frustrating when you are busy.

I will say in advance that God has used our participation in multiple ways which we will further share on our website at http://thehooverhouse.net in coming days.

I've finally seen the episode in it's entirety for the first time tonight. I have it recorded, but never had the time to watch until tonight.

Your family did an amazing job. You did an awesome job as a father looking out for your children. Your wife also stood her ground and it seemed like she was breaking through to Mr. Meeks. To bad she couldn't have had another week or two.

I think when ABC tried to make your family seem foolish at times, it was a poor attempt on their part and I bet most people saw right through it.

Even on TV your house shown through as a beautiful and loving home. I like when your daughter kissed you and you told her that you would take care of her. That's awesome to see parents reassure their children.

Anyways good job and may God continue to bless your family.
