Using this line of thought . . . what about dramas or plays in church? They're usually a fictional story, sometimes they include the story of a person coming to salvation.

Apparently it is ok to act in a church play but not on TV.

I don't think anything good is going to come of this.

Not sure why, I just feel that way.

Too close on the heels of the Mississippi Incident...

Hope that it dont happen. If a character on TV is a Christian he will without doubt be a hypocrite from top to bottom. Ever seen the "Christian" adulterous on the Reba show?

And if they show baptism in Jesus name Im sure satan will make the person as vile as possible.

I just don't see how it cheapens what we do. I can assure you that KP would never participate if it was done flippantly as some sort of joke or comedy routine.

Just like Christmas and Easter drama's depict Christian events and aspects of our faith I beleive something like this does the same.

Does KP know the storyline? What assurances does KP has that neither his nor the other character will be shown in a negative light?

I doubt the famous evangelist from "Borat" would have gone near him had he known it was all a joke or part of a movie.

I see everybody is in the usual UPC / OP mode. The mode of running and hiding with your head in the sand. Never risking anything to spread truth since you might fail or have something bad happen. Good grief!

I guess Borat is going to be the whipping boy for anything to do with TV or movies and OP's for the next 100 years.

No doubt they should rip down all of those video screens in churches since borat was shown on screens.

You can say the church already has drama productions etc, and that justifies letting a crew come in and film a fake service and baptism? They are as different as daylight and dark.

You cannot "creatively edit" your live easter/Christmas drama at the church and have the final product totally change your intended purpose...

These hollywood types can edit your seemingly innocent baptism and do more damage to that church and their reputation than anything.

I agree with another poster, "remember the Borat"
