UPROAR!! The LATEST on the A.A Split! you thought UPc's was Bad!!!

** WE'RE NOT THE ONLY ONES!! ***

APOSTOLIC ASSEMBLIES GOING THRU HUGE SPLIT!!!!

The General board was served right before their national convention - suit alleges election fraud - you can read the lawsuit at www.apostolicassembly.info

During a night service, the current president Sanchez talked about the situation and announced that reverends Rodriquez, Salomon, Torres and Avila were suing the AA because of the results of the elections in 06.

H then asked everyone to pray. During his prayer Sanchez started rebuking and saying that this was all a diabolical plan. He started rebuking demons.

Several Pastors were commenting that it sounded like Sanchez was saying that the above-mentioned were demon possessed or being used by the devil!!!

I find this a bit offensive so I'm sure the thousands of OPs who practice coving their heads in prayer would too.

Oh...Im sorry. But let's be honest...those doilies are not veils nor the intended head coverings. It is not much different then "not cut hair" OPs who burn their hair, or clip them with nail clippers to skirt (no pun intended) the law of not cutting the hair.

Sorry but they look like lamp doilies. They do not look like veils

Oh but thats normal for many mbrs of this forum, really crass statements like that not caring if anyone is offended or not.

I AM..(sorta) 'cause I wear them., my roots are in this org., AAFCJ!

NOT that that would matter to anyone.

The veils we/I wear look nothing like that btw..how many have actually seen ones like I wear? Never mind, but those who throw such barbs don't ever really care to get facts straight, they just want the laughs that they {no one in particular but there are more than one such personality here} will no doubt get for being the 'class clown'.

I will forgive this blurb, but I hope to not hear stuff like that anymore., I happen to wear my "velos" out of honor and glory to MY LORD.,it is a holy privilege to ME.

FTR when I was little and catholic the ones we wore THEN did look something like that., for the little girls., and some of the ones even today for little bitty girls are a bit similar, but certainly do not just go out and buy "doilies' to use, how ridiculous and mean to say that! :

And my comment was only about those that actually DO wear veils like that...in fact I can't really even call them veils. And I have the facts straight. I see people from the Apostolic Assemblies or the "Spanish Assemblies" all the time. Some wear what really amounts to "doilies" and not really veils at all. They just barel cover the top of their heads.

If that is your conviction then fine, hold fast to it. we have fellowshipped with AA for years they have sung on our platform with veils we have sung on theirs with no veil. however,we have had some very unfortunate experiences with some of the leaders concerning the veil. I realize there are some in UPC with no tolerance too. they usually don't fellowship at all outside of the the UPC box and some apostolics don't.
From my observation and from what i have heard from friends in AA., most of the youth do not want to wear the veil.

A cursory glance at the underlying and implicit meaning of this scripture will erase any argument that was ever made for wearing a second covering...the covering is God given...no nead for another....This is the kind of archaic ignorance that keeps us fighting amongst ourselves and missing the bigger picture...I pastor a church and trust me this is the least of our worries in the world we pastor in today...

It may not be the most major issue, but it sure is a most holy consecration to me., and actually lots of other sisters all over! We don't appreciate anyone taking it as such an act of "archaicly ignorance" and we DO read the bible; that was very rude of you to say that..and you are a pastor? Glad you're not mine.
Since you posted just to say something so rude. I guess its NOT so miminal an issue nor worry, to you, then.
