God knows that the refining process is what purges out the unnecessary things in our lives. It is true that in the midst of the greatest trials, come forth the greatest miracles and presence of the Lord. I think of Jacob as he wrestled with the angel. After the terrible night, the Lord was able to begin in him something far greater than if he had never come to that place. So many situations in the Bible we can look at and see where the greatest difficulties brought forth the most amazing miracles.
Still, I have not yet been able to pray, Lord, bring on the trials, even though I KNOW that is how the Lord is able to move in the greatest way... I do pray for His will to be done... and trust that His grace will be there for whatever He brings for us to face...
