The "Affordable" Care Act
Here a real sample of someone signing up for CareAct :
If you do not have to sign up with Obamacare on their website PLEASE DON'T! Once you see the cost of premiums and yearly deductible and choose to opt out from that point they will within a few hours email you stating your actual fees in which now they will by any means collect. REAL EXAMPLE ----A comment posted on the Affordable Care Act/Obamacare FB page:
"I actually made it through this morning at 8:00 A.M. I have a preexisting condition (Type 1 Diabetes) and my income base was 45K-55K annually I chose tier 2 "Silver Plan" and my monthly premiums came out to $597.00 with $13,988 yearly deductible!!! There is NO POSSIBLE way that I can afford this so I "opt-out" and chose to continue along with no insurance. I received an email tonight at 5:00 P.M. informing me that my fine would be $4,037 and could be attached to my yearly income tax return. Then you make it to the "REPERCUSSIONS PORTION" for "non-payment" of yearly fine. First, your drivers license will be suspended until paid, and if you go 24 consecutive months with "Non-Payment" and you happen to be a home owner, you will have a federal tax lien placed on your home. You can agree to give your bank information so that they can easy "Automatically withdraw" your "penalties" weekly, bi-weekly or monthly! This by no means is "Free" or even "Affordable."

Re: The "Affordable" Care Act
And how does one know that this is a truthful FB posting? Could it perhaps be simply a fabricated story by an anonymous person (or persons) opposed to the Affordable Health Care Act? Give me a verifiable name of the one who posted such statements and maybe, just maybe, after doing some investigation to substantiate their allegations I will believe it. In the absence of such information I am compelled to view this alleged FB posting with a high degree of suspicion.

I agree on being suspicious. I don't pass information along without a link to verify.
Aside from whether the FB account is bogus or not, one thing I did wonder about on signing up to see what the deductibles are going to be and then opting out, would they still put you in the system and begin collecting?

What I don't like is that it appears you have to give all your information and then, SURPRISE!

Another part of the ACA that is horrible are the Navigators. The rules for the Navigators put a top priority on hiring people who "represent" racial, ethnic and cultural demographics of each neighborhood. So, instead of recruiting people who have knowledge of insurance or medicine, they are in essence recruiting community organizers.
"Recruit, support and promote a staff that is representative of the demographic characteristics including primary language spoken." Pages 59-60
Texas is insisting on background checks for these people. But, not all states are dong that, including California.
The money flowing through Obamacare to these community organizations is $100 million per year - handed out by the CDC for "community transformation grants". Some of them are funded primarily by race and ethnicity - the recipients have to be where the minorities make up the majority of the population. There is A LOT in the ACA that gives strong preference to minorities over the rest of Americans.
It is just a crazy, convoluted mess.

Re: The "Affordable" Care Act
It could be the CIA posted this on facebook so when the slightly lesser mandates and penalties come down, people will feel relieved rather than outraged.
