Cpac 2013

Glad I got home early! Really a good Conference. Having a lot of Q&A panels - thus far - on immigration and wars.

You can watch here:

http://nation.foxnews.com/cpac-2013/...onference-live

And you can see the YouTube clips posted here, if you are wanting to only listen to certain speakers:

http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...0beF9R7oaB9lOt

We are keeping our eye out for the Rove Rhinos and will be reporting on that. The Youth have already warned CPAC not to ignore them, or they will lose the next election.

"I have yet to meet a person who doesn't like the red card employment plan." - Helen Krieble

"Work permits should follow supply & demand- lots of jobs = lots of visa, less jobs = less visas." - Helen Krieble

Passionate guy. Really liked listening to him on the panel.

Whit Ayres, Prez of North Star Opinion Research: "Marco Rubio is the RGIII of American politics."

We have already alerted Ayres and CPAC by letting them know that if they push Rubio on us while pushing out Rand, they are going to lose.

I am pushing back inside already by his comment. Don't do the Romney thing on us again. We are not going to cooperate.

Re: Cpac 2013

Immigration panel was too worried about political correctness and tone. Helen Krieble's "Red Card" program for immigration is a terrible plan. With Lindsay Graham, Sarah Palin, Dick Morris, and Donald Trump, it's like a 3-ring circus.

I believe it was Mario Lopez who busted through the conversation at those who were worried about political correctness. So it wasn't ALL that worried. It was a great discussion.

I don't know why the "Red Card" is a terrible plan. Most don't want to be permanent residents here. Our current system has hurt the circular migration system we have had. The "Red Card" offers a solution to separating the two groups of people - ones that want to become permanent citizens and the group that just wants to work and go home.

And as I stated earlier, we are watching for the Rove Rhinos. I don't like all of the speakers present, but there are some that I do.

Re: Cpac 2013

Rand Paul:

"No one person can decide the law, no one person can determine your guilt or innocence."

"President Obama, good intentions are not enough"

"If we destroy the enemy but lose what we stand about, have we really won?"

"Mr. President, will you or won't you defend the constitution?"

"To those who dismissed this debate as frivolous, tell that to those who risk their lives"

"The filibuster was about drones. But it was about more. Do we have a Bill of Rights?"

"Tell the children who lost parents in Iraq and Afghanistan that the Bill of Rights is no big deal."

"Only in Washington can a $7 trillion dollar rise in spending can be called a cut."

"A sequester just slows the rate of growth."

"We desperately need a new course and new leadership."

"For liberty to expand, government must shrink."

"I will ask that everybody who stands for liberty, to stand with me"
And, BTW, that was French for - I want to be your president.

Gotta love Rand Paul. Hope he can get more libertarian-minded men and women to run for Congress.
