To the majority of people in this country(even the ones who disagree with the President) it isn't necessary. But to a small minority of ultra right wing fanatics like Rush Limbaugh and his disciples it is. They could care less about civil disagreements, it's all about whether "their guy" is in power and whether "their" misguided ideas are at the forefront of American policy in the world.
As long as it's "their" guy he can do no wrong, no matter the utter mess his wrong ideologies bestow on the country.
I remember one preacher on this forum during the primary elections saying the world would have been better off if Obama's mother had had an abortion! He even refused to apologize for the remark when called on it.
It's a shame that brand of politics is encouraged by people on both sides of the aisles. That junk doesn't solve a single problem, put a single person back to work, help anyone without healthcare or improve life for our veterans. It's a blight on the political process, IMO.
