What did you have for Christmas dinner?

Spinach dip and home-baked sourdough bread.

No place cards. (Inside joke! )

Spinach salad (mmmmm, with bacon).

Cornish game hens.

Candied Yam Souffle. (I wouldn't call it a true souffle, but it was different from the usual. Pretty good, too.)

Green been casserole (over-cooked because we forgot about it, but tasty anyway).

Glazed carrots.

Cranberry sauce (mmmmm, berries! ).

Stuffing (was on the menu, but we forgot to make it!).

Snicker pie (haven't tried it yet -- too full, and not enough time yesterday).

"HER" recipe? I will inquire about that and post accordingly.

Grandma used to make it, but she always said "I don't need no recipe!"

But I think through the years mom gleaned enough info to almost match it.

Gandmas that don't use recipes are usually the best cooks!

Re: What did you have for Christmas dinner?

Traditional Christmas Dinner:

Roast Turkey
Gravy
Dressing
Mashed potatoes
Vegetables
Homemade cranberry sauce
Assortment of homemade Pickles
Jellied Salad
Rolls
Apple Pie & Icecream
Pumpkin Pie
Cheesecake: This year White Chocolate Raspberry Swirl Cheesecake with a Raspberry Puree sauce to spoon over. Wonderful!!
Other assorted desserts
Punch
Tea & Coffee

Everything homemade of course! Christmas dinner was at my place this year. 20 adults and 6 children. Had an awesome time. The last person left about 10:30.

And we had brunch out late this morning with my parents and sister & husband. I love my family!!!
