My grandma was just admitted to hospital...
with gallstones. They are running additional tests and will have results tomorrow. At her age, surgery could be very difficult. She is 95 years old.
Prayers would be greatly appreciated...

Praying for your grandmother. And also your uncle.

Praying. They are very reluctant to put someone of that age under anesthesia.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: My grandma was just admitted to hospital...
Test results are in.
The cardiologist says that Grandma's heart is strong. They are not going to do the surgery to remove the gall bladder because Grandma does not want them to put her to sleep. At 11am today they are going to heavily sedate her to run a tube down her throat and use a laser to try and break up the gallstones. They said this must be done because one of the gall stones is blocking the opening of the gall bladder. Please pray that this procedure will be successful-- and that Grandma will come through it okay.
Thanks everyone for the prayers.... they are greatly appreciated.

Re: My grandma was just admitted to hospital...
Just got a call. The above procedure was unsuccessful. They were not able to find the stone that they said was blocking the opening. Now we are unsure if the stone has moved itself from the opening or what. Grandma's kids who are there have asked that another test be done to see what happened to the stone.
The surgeon said that if the stone is still there, it is possible that it could move and lodge in the pancreas. However, it is very possible that prayer has changed things and maybe the stone is just gone.
They have told the children that surgery is the only option.
Continued prayer is greatly appreciated.

Re: My grandma was just admitted to hospital...
One other thing... I have one uncle who has a very negative outlook about everything---He is on his way over to the hospital. I'm praying he has car trouble or something.... because my grandma really doesn't need his negative attitude right now.
