One of my sisters called me yesterday (around 5:00 p.m.) to tell me that my grandma was found, by my dad, lying on the floor in her home. He was trying to determine what happened & how long she'd been lying there. He was pretty sure it was a stroke. He and my mom took her to the hospital right away.
My mom called me at 3:30 this morning as she was leaving the hospital to tell me that the doctors said that my grandma had a heart attack and a stroke. They're going to be running more tests today.
It's so sad!
Monday evening is when it happened and my dad didn't find her until Wednesday afternoon. He found her lying on the floor - she was unable to move or talk.
I'm not sure how they found out; but my mom told me that she (my grandma) had gone out to get the mail on Monday and when she came in the house, she was walking upstairs, and that's when she had the stroke - while on the stairs.
She dragged herself outside, hoping to be able to get help. She realized she wouldn't be able to, so she dragged herself back into the house & up the stairs. After she got upstairs (which is the main living space in her house), she had a heart attack and fell to the floor. She vomited a few times and wet herself. And then she just laid there until my dad found her.
My mom said that when he found her, her hair was covered with dirt, leaves (from crawling outside for help), and vomit. Her whole right side was covered in dirt, scratches & bruises (again, from crawling outside), and her hands were all dirty.
My dad got her up in a chair and got her some water - she drank six glasses, so she must have been dehydrated. Then he gave her a pen and paper, but she could only write the letters A and T, she just kept writing those letters over and over. She couldn't talk or write anything other than the A's & T's. And that's when my parents drove her to the hospital.
The only other information we know is that the stroke was in the left side of her brain. So far, that's all I know. Now we're just waiting for further tests.
Please keep her in your prayers.
Thanks.

Praying here,God works through impossible situations, He caused a virgin to conceive ,and He can work something supernatural through this.

Our prayers are with you that God will work on the behalf of your Grandmother. My wife and I have seen the hand of the Lord in many ways over the past few weeks. It all started with a stroke... a minor stroke. But very quickly it evolved into so much more. We've seen our lowest lows in recent days, and some of our highest highs, as well. We've been up and we've been down. But through it all, God has remained constant... a constant help in the time of need. May He be so with you and your family... and much more.
