Re: What kind of entertainment is good for the sou
I'm not much of a TV watcher, but I do like to read. I try to stay away from most secular novels, so I read a lot of Christian novels. I know they will be clean and have a good moral to them.
We also rode a Harley for four years; that was fun!!!!!

Have you read the Thoene's much? I am a huge fan of the Zion Covenent Series...
I am reading the third book in The Mark of the Lion series right now, Francine Rivers.
Years ago I used to read insatiably, now I tend to put a book down and not pick it up for a week or two... that's what I've done with this lastest book.

I can't remember if it's the Zion Covenant or the Zion Chronicles that I have, but whichever it is, I've read them about four times. It's the ones about John Murphy, the photojournalist in WWII. I learned a lot of history reading those books!
And I have the Mark of the Lion series too. I love Francine Rivers. I think her book "Redeeming Love" is probably my favorite Christian novel.
I also love anything by Karen Kingsbury. I feel like I know the Baxter family personally. LOL!

Yes, John and Elisa... When I first read those novels I was shocked... you learn about those times in school, but reading Thoene's novels kind of brought it to life for me. I learned a lot and my compassion grew.

Although some entertainment that seeks to present a truthful perspective on the world becomes gratuitous, some that passes for “Christian” entertainment/reading presents an artificial world with little resemblance to reality. That error is as disastrous as being licentious.
