I was listening to a sermon on line of an apostolic preacher online that declared that marriage wasn't ordained outside the church. I disagree with this.

Let's discuss it.
I don't think a Christian should marry a non-christian...is that what he was saying??

(2Co 6:14) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
I would hope that a Christian marrying a Christian would be a given to most here.
The real fun begins when dealing with some peoples opinions about other (close) denominations and for the UC crowd.... other Churches within the same denomination.

you disagree why? What did he mean by ordained? Did he word it just like that? In other words was he saying "If you are in the church you are not allowed to marry someone outside the church"?
Or was he saying all married couples that were not married in the church are not really married?

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
No, he was saying that unless you are in the body of Christ and are saved you have no business getting married. People in the world shouldn't get married. I disagree with his view because marriage is honorable. There isn't any scripture that supports his view.

I've never heard that doctrine before... interesting and erroneous I would say. And he has no scripture he uses?

I have heard of this before and someone actually wrote a book (well if you would call it a book it was more like a mini book.) about this Its totally off the wall stuff... I am trying to remember where I saw the book and author... The person who wrote this book however had one totally out of context scripture he used to back this entire belief and it had nothing to do with it... just cant for the life of me right now remember the author..
