Oh, there you are.

Well, I think jewelry is a different matter, because you tend to only buy one set of diamond earrings (or necklace, ring, whatever), and they last your whole life, and then (as someone else mentioned) they can be passed on. When you consider their income, it wouldn't be much different from my husband buying me a diamond ring for $2000.00. (Relatively speaking.)

I think the point is: No, it doesn't affect how I vote, because I am satisfied that they put their money where their mouths are, in reference to charity, and the rest they can spend however they please.

They are homely if they dress down and damned if they dress up. Poor ladies.

You know, bananas and stop lights are like opposites.

A stop light is yellow and people tell you to "wait".
A banana is yellow and people tell you to "go ahead".

A stop light is green and people tell you to "go ahead".
A banana is green and people tell you "wait".

And if you have a banana that is red people say "Where in the heck did you get THAT banana?"

Jeff HATES lipstick. (But not gloss--especially the flavored kinds ) He made sure to tell me before we were married that if I ever wore lipstick he would NOT kiss me. lol

His mother and sisters do cake it on, so I understand, and I've never cared for lipstick either. All's well that ends well.

Do you know buying diamonds can be an investment? One can wear them and sell them for more than they buy them or they can pass them down to a family member or donate them. So I do not see investing in a pair if earrings a bad thing. It could be a smart investment.
