Well, I can agree with you on this one because I know that she's worth a fortune and that they both GIVE very generously.
The earrings could have been her mother's past down to her for all we know!
You have to remember their empire was built on a $10K loan.

Frankly, I don't care one way or the other. My husband bought me a suit for Mother's day that was around $___.00 (Okay, a good chunk of change.)
1. It was only about 1/4 - 1/2 what a MAN pays for a good, tailored suit, and you do get what you pay for, and,
2. I'm sure if we compared incomes, he probably spent a greater percentage of our income than Cindy McCain spent of hers. Now, I'm a frugal shopper, and I don't normally spend money like that on myself, AND I only buy new clothes a couple of times a year, BUT the point is,
3. It's no one's business how we spend our money. Except God's, that is.
I really don't get the fascination with other folks' finances, either. As long as folks are charitable, and are good stewards, WHO CARES???????????????????

Let's see.....
I'm thinking I can't vote for Obama. No one who could sit in a pew for 20 years and listen to the hate filled diatribes of Jeremiah Wright and allow his daughters listen to such sermons and at first say, "I could not disown him any more than I could disown my own grandfather" then conveniently throw him under the bis a few weeks later for political expedience would be able to win my trust.
Voting for a rich American hero versus a rich Ivy League liberal politician is a no brainer for me. If this is all the Obama supporters can come up with as logic against McCain and a reason to vote Obama, they are going to loe in a landslide
NEWS to the CLASS WARRIORS: ALL POLITICIANS ON THE NATIONAL LEVEL ARE RICH! These are the facts of life.

I could not believe any dress will be over $300,000 so I did some search. It is NOT the dress that is $300,000. The dress is only 1 percent of that, $3000. It is the diamonds that cost that much, something that she can wear over the years and leave to one of her daughters. The jewels is less than what they give to charity.
Cindy McCain
Oscar de la Renta dress: $3,000
Chanel J12 White Ceramic Watch: $4,500
Three-carat diamond earrings: $280,000
Four-strand pearl necklace: $11,000–$25,000
Shoes, designer unknown: $600
Total: Between $299,100 and $313,100

Re: Do I still vote for McCain after this?
The woman is worth $100 million.
It was a very special occasion. So she got dressed up for the occasion. Big deal.
The jewelry was expensive, but it wasnt gaudy or ostentatious.
So his wife wore a pair of 3 Carat earrings. so what?
I dont see why this has any relevance as to John McCain's fitness to be president... or why someone would decide to vote for Obama because of this. This really is a non-issue .
