Last evening a call came from a village begging someone to come as an elderly man was very sick and some of our people had told him the story of Jesus and he wanted to repent. Brother Chad (our son in law and one of our local pastors rushed over there to tell him more and to help him know how to repent of his sins as he had been an idol worshippers all his life. A great victory was won and we are hoping to baptize him and see him receive the gift of the Holy Ghost before leaving this walk of life.
Revival fires are burning but the devil does not takes losing ground easily he is fighting with all his might. The devil is not our friend and we are on his hit list!
Coming back from that village a huge pickup truck trying to get away from the police (which he did) hit Chad´s car full force tearing up the front of it and doing damage to the radiator. Chad has no insurance. Insurance is very expensive in Brazil far beyond the reach of most missionaries.
Most of you know Chad and Becky have very little support and live on church owned tiny house and we give them lights and water. Maybe 200 dollars a month comes in on a good month.
He will need at least 600 dollars to get his car fixed and he desperately needs one as he takes care of several churches. Brother Alvear suggested we send out a letter and ask if anyone can help him with any amount…anything would be deeply appreciated.
We are very thankful he nor the pastor was not hurt…just a little shook up and deeply thankful that Becky was not with him as she is 7 months pregnant. They lost their first baby and she has had a very difficult time physically.
If you cannot give will you please pray that someone can to help this young dedicated missionary couple. Offerings may be sent to P.O. Box 797, Jonesville, La. for this cause.
Thank you very much and as I write this letter I feel the presence of the Lord telling me He will speak to some of His people to meet this need. The presence of the Lord has been very strong upon me this morning. I am grateful that among earth´s millions that live unreached, untouched that God in His great plan chose us to be bearers of His message. Sometimes as I see people bowing to idols. I smell incense. I feel outnumbered but then I think of the host of heaven that helps us along our way spreading light and our homeland supporters and those we have won from the thick darkness of heathenism I am encouraged once again to fight on!
Does the Lord hear the prayers of one heart poured out to Him? I believe He does. He allows my heart to join His as He moves with power greater than a whole country of unclean spirits.
Thank you for helping us what we do is for no earthly gain. It is for the sake of the call.

I am really grateful that my God takes care of His own. Things could have been much worse than what they are. I am reminded of that scripture in 1Thess. 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Continue to pray for us as we push on to reveal the light in a world of darkness. Mom Alvear said that I could also put my address on here for any support that might come in.

I will put $300 in the mail tomorrow. Wish I could do the whole thing. Maybe someone will match this.

I leave for Costa Rica on Saturday. Please be praying for our safety. There are 21 of us going, I think. I'm very excited!!
