Gym Work Outs

Do you go to the gym to work out?

If so, do you "dress out"?

Is it a co-ed gym?

Do you go with your spouse?

Are you against "mixed bathing"? If so, how do you justify a co-ed gym (assuming you attend one), whether you yourself dress out or not?

I just wear my Speedos, usually, but I compensate by wearing a long-sleeved shirt.

i think it is reasonable for men and women to work out, and wear decent modest apparel, just my opinion, it is also not reasonable for men to think they can do what they want and not for women, that is chauvanism pure and simple, just as bad as the feminist, lol,dt

OK, I'll be serious. I do work out at a gym. I don't know what "dressing out" means, but I wear normal gym clothes. Hm, I guess normal could change on an individual basis, so normal but not revealing. It is co-ed. I do not have a spouse. I am not against mixed bathing or mixed sweating (LOL), I mean working out. I feel that most people are there to work out and not pick someone up, however, some gyms do have a "meat market" reputation so I chose my gym carefully.

You mean you believe that its OK for apostolic men AND women to BOTH work out at a gym TOGETHER so long as their apparel is modest? A PUBLIC co-ed gym that non-apostolics, possibly wearing immodest apparel, also attend?

WOW! You know you are in trouble now brother.

"Dressing out" means changing into something appropriate for a gym work out. Something that is possibly not acceptable to apostolics, possibly immodest.

And this brings up a good point. Isn't it funny, how we can go somewhere to work out as long as no church people are there, but put the church people together and the men and women have to be separate. I'm not saying I think people should be "together" but if they are in the same place, suddenly it becomes weird if it's church people. A girl from my old church once said she worked out at the Y, and she went there with a couple from the church, and she felt modest in front of "worldly" (her words) men, but not in front of the brother from church. Why is that? She wore baggy shorts to the knees and a tshirt.
