Need Immediate Help with MSWord

Does anyone know how to make a document print the right and left pages the same without changing the page numbers?

This is for a book that is 5.5 x 8.5.

It is what a printer calls two books up.

If I understood you correctly.... try: File -> Page Set Up -> and then about half way down on the Margins Tab there should be a drop down menu labeled PAGES Multiple Pages. Select 2 pages per sheet.

You might have to flip from potrait to landscape - or vice versa to get the look you want. I'm looking at Office 2003 right now.

The problem is that the binder/printer is asking for two up printing but they want page 1 on both sides of the page. What Esther is asking for is pre press layout within MS Word that will allow her to have 5.5 x 8.5 page 1 appear twice on a landscape 8.5 x 11 page. The printer wants to be able to run a 166 page book two up so they can then cut and bind two books with a single print run.

I am seeing that this is not commonly done in MS Word. It usually is done in Quark Express which I own but do not have installed or in Adobe InDesign or Pagemaker which I own but do not have installed.

Thanks for your input. Already tried that and it doesn't work.

Any other ideas?

Pagemaker is for newsletters and broshures according to what I just read.

Quark is suppose to work.

You have all the tools man what are you waiting on?

It appears from all my researching thus far, that MSWord is not capable of printing a book to a printers specs.

They want the one I don't have.

All I can tell you is they want a 8.5 by 11 landscape divided into left side and right side to read the same.

In doing this I can not allow the page numbers to change from what it is.

Example left side and right side should both me page number 1.
Next sheet should be page 2 etc.
