Final Exams
Many times our expectations of God are higher than our expectations of the secular world in that: We often find ourselves in the process of taking an examination and paying for the privilege, such as;
*Getting our driver's license: we pay to take the exam, if we fail it then we pay to take it again.
*Getting our licensure in any professional field: we study, take classes, and then pay to take the exam. If we fail it ...then we pay to take it again.
*After getting licensure we pay to take CEU credits, and pay yearly for our license, and if we let it lapse...we pay again.
****Why then do we question God when we take a test, fail it, and have to take it again?****
One cannot go to first grade if one does not leave/pass kindergarten.
One has to leave something in order to go into something else. It is called the "Leave and Enter Principle".
Think it not strange that God would require us to pass a test before promoting us on to a higher level.:sshhh

good thoughts rhoni, and very true, if i let one of my licenses lapse, it is a pain to have to do it again, and that is life, god is a practical god, he wont promote us to a higher place until we are ready and appropriately prepared, god bless you, dt

Sis. Rhoni,
You have some good, insightful thoughts here that would do
all of us good if we took a little time to really meditate and
think about.
Thanks for these words!
Blessings,

You are always so kind Sis Falla! I have wonderful things that God is working in my life and I get a lot from my meditations whether anyone else does or not.

I have often wondered what would my "passing the test," look like? Then my next thought is that only he that is omniscient can know the final result. Quickly, I dispair of hope within myself, seeing nothing good there that would would render me worthy of satisfactorily passing any test. I am then inclined to pour contempt upon my finest work, realizing that it falls far short of divine approval. It is then, in final desperation I turn my thoughts from what I can do to pass the test, looking to Jesus who alone accomplished the "work" for me, having passed the test, overcoming the world, the flesh and the devil, remembering that I am told to abide in him.
In myself, I am a failure. If I abide in Him, I am an overcomer. Not that I am an overcomer within myself, for I am a failure, but I am an overcomer by abiding in him, who alone passed the test.
