eating chocolate covered ants

My wife is gone to NC so I am with my son and daughter tonight. When Momma is away, I like to snack a little extra. Anyway, I decided a little ice cream would be good, but I only had vanilla. Then I remembered we had some of that Majic shell chocolate or whatever you call it (the kind that gets hard when you puor in on the clod ice cream). But when I went to get it out of the pantry, I noticed the lid was a little open, and a couple of ants were on the outside. I looked but did not see anymore, so I poured it on out on my ice cream. So there is a possibility I am eating a few chocolate covered ants with my ice cream.

There is a chain of overly price ice cream called Stone Cold Creamery.

They offered a free bowl if you at it all and it contained 4 chocolate covered crickets.

I did not participate.

(what is clod?)

You just got some free protein, Matt. A few ants won't hurt you, I guess.

I just read a book about Cambodia and the gal said that when they go to the movies, they always ordered a bucket of deep fried crickets. I guess that's their popcorn!!

Quite a few years back we were having pancakes for breakfast. Mr B went to use the maple syrup and there were ants on the outside and a few in. Don't tell anyone I told you this but money was tight back then...So.....we took a strainer and strained all the ants out of the syrup and continued on. Amazing! we lived to tell about it. lol
