Church Problems in Ohio Thread

Folks, I closed and soft deleted this thread so Admin can take some thought and review.

I do have a question that all need to consider.

How much negative in regards to Christianity can you take in before it affects you spiritually? Something to think about.

However, I do sincerely commend him on his decision...it was the right thing to do.

How much? How much indeed?

Let me say something really, really positive:

"God's people are NOT children of the devil." I am reminded the words of a somewhat defamed prophet as he spoke the truth in regards to God's people;

Num 23:23 Surely [there is] no enchantment against Jacob, neither [is there] any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!

That is very positive.

Something tells me I'm glad I missed it...

The thread was based on a publicly published article in a newspaper.

If the thought in closing the thread is that we need to bury our heads in the sand and ignore any problems in the church then I have to greatly disagree with Elder Flemming in commending this action.

I don't have a problem with the review I just hope that common sense prevails. We cannot ignore things like this, especially when they are in the public domain and common knowldege. There are lessons to be learned and the thread in question could very well keep someone else from making a similar mistake.

We can't ignore. Hmmm...define we.

There are authorities handling this that know more about it than we do. Safe to assume MOW knows more about it than we do. Why? Because they are involved and we know very precious little save what someone else has told us. We can't ignore?

We do not even have the right to be involved and we are putting forth our expert opinions as if we have all knowledge.

I love it. TIC, of course.

Elder Flemming? I reject such a title. When did we get so formal CC?
