Why Organizations?
Will there be a time when the church can function in a fellowship and not an organization? Where a prophet will be subject to a prophet, and not to a presbyter, or district superintendent? Church’s can have fellowship one with another and not “only” with their kind. Why was the UPCI, WPF created? I submit to this thread, Do organizations cause division?

Re: Why Organizations?
The WPF do not stay just with in their group so they do pretty much what you are desiring.

Then why was the WPF formed? Why even go for an organization?

It’s for preachers not for a church. There are no wpf churches. It’s a fellowship of ministers. Originations have lots of benefits. Bible quizzing, youth camps, camp meeting, mission departments, youth departments, life insurance, support to name a few.

Re: Why Organizations?
When it's a few are deceived we call it a cult, when its large number deceived we call it a denomination.

Re: Why Organizations?
I tend to fill most comfortable in the independent circles. However, I am learning that the independent fellowships are many times just as “organized” and more so than the organizations. Some of the greatest preachers and churches in Pentecost are among the independents, in my opinion. But ever fellowship circle has its blind spots.

Not all division is a bad thing, and not all unity is a good thing.

Re: Why Organizations?
I’m also independent. We have lots of fellowship of independents in California. We have plenty of conferences, camps ect. Personally the WPF isn’t my flavor. I do have some friends in it but just not my cup of tea.

Re: Why Organizations?
I will never forget what one elder said I’m a meeting I attended a few years back. “I choose my based on a man’s message, lifestyle and ethics...not his fellowship card!”
Also...in the words of Elder Epley “Just because we’re friends doesn’t mean your friends are my friends. It also doesn’t mean your enemies are my enemies.” Let every man of God choose his fellowship and his church’s fellowship regardless of prayerfully and without outside interference of organizations or even fellowship circles. That is my opinion.
