Re: Holiness-Don Francisco

Note: I really appreciated Don Francisco c. 1980, I was in Colorado at the time. It was either him or the fellow from Tennessee who really emphasized .. "no clapping, please." Michael Card, who also did fine music at the time, was very earnest in faith, fellowship and life, and who later collaborated on an album with John Michael Talbot. Our fellership was in the Grand Junction region, the main land was in Hotchkiss, and I believe Don Francisco was from around Hotchkiss.

He's Alive was a favorite when the earlier iteration of Homestead Heritage was in NYC. Sister Patty really poured her heart out into the worship song, playing piano. Thank you, dear sister. It was also the days of "No hiding place! A song which helped bring me ton repentance and to the living faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Artist Don Francisco berates Christians for believing the Bible is true

And he has a really sad article:
"Does God Hate Divorce?"
Which is likely explained by his own "divorce" and "remarriage."

So, I am not sure if he is the best singer-speaker on holiness.
His voice remains sweet.

Homestead Heritage at that time was also "no clapping" (worship often ok), that has changed, and there is a performance sense in their concerts at the fair. A much bigger problem was when they took out Jehovah from the Days of Elijah, and inserted the dark-side name.

Re: Holiness-Don Francisco

He has fallen a long way since "Holiness". I had no idea. Sadly multitudes have taken the same route. Having said that it is true there are people who like to read and argue scripture who dont have an intimate relationship with Christ.

I also have read hundreds of books or articles wrangling over which Bible version or what books make it up and so on and so forth. Take the book of Revelation for example.

Many "scholars" would say its not of God.

Yet in 1975 I had a dream that my family would be divided because of Rev. 1:17. In the dream I saw just that. Rev. 1:17.

When I looked it up having no idea what it said I found Jesus saying I am the first and the last. Jesus identifying himself as the God of the Old Testament.

It was over this doctrine my family was divided for decades.

To me this showed God is the author of Revelation. He still uses it to speak into our lives.

If some promote the idea that the Bible is the source of strife and division among men think of it this way. If the Bible is just speculation and theory and we may all do and believe whatever is right in our own eyes can you imagine HOW MUCH MORE strife and division there would be?

I get what you are saying. Nonetheless if every song is judged the same way....flaws in the singers life what songs would we be able to enjoy?

Do you know any singers who have no sin in their life neither error in their doctrine?

I would love to hear them.

Should we refuse to listen to music written or done by someone who may not yet be perfect?
