Discont'd ext. cab?

When did Chevy discontinue the extended cab Silverado? They offer the regular cab, double cab (4 doors, rear doors are kinda small) , and the crew cab (4 doors). Extended cab option not available.

Reading truck forums, it looks like the double cab replaces the ext cab with opening suicide doors. I wonder if there's much of a difference in space available for rear passengers. I'll read on.

I had an extended for years. Upgraded to a crew about a year ago and I'll never go back!

I love the crew cab, but they are way too pricey.

Rideshare? No. Car was a total loss. Attorney is wrapping things up with my case.

I have been looking at auction vehicles online. I'm not a dealer so I can only purchase a salvaged vehicle. There are many in my current city. Flood damaged. They do mark how much water was actually in the vehicle. I know it is risky, but not a lot of options right now.
