David Terrell

Been reading about him some. Anyone been in any of his meetings? What was your impression? Is he Oneness? Acts 2:38? Has he ever been well received in Apostolic circles?

Nah. I haven't heard anything about him in Apostolic circles but did read that he baptized in Jesus name. I figure if Branham was received in some circles, this guy might have been to. I'm under no impression that he is the real deal. Anything Pentecostal history interests me.

And would be interested to hear from anyone that say in any of his meetings.

Re: David Terrell

I used to hear him on the radio. He was far more interesting than almost any Apostolic Preacher I have heard. He believes in Oneness and baptism in Jesus name but according to him (I think) salvation is at repentance and faith. He was well known in the healing movement at least going back to the 60's.

Now I have never been a follower of his just heard him a number of times on the radio and after the death of my Grandmother in the 80's I found some magazines of his. A book I read on the healing evangelists described him as a man who fasted more than he ate and prayed with agonizing intensity.

He had a good doctrinal understanding of the end times namely the Church would face the mark of the beast. He is actually the ONLY big name prophet/Evangelist type I have ever seen to prophesy some world events accurately.

Having said that since coming on the internet and trying to watch some of his video's it SEEMS like...he got caught up in date setting and paid a price in loss of credibility. And again my perspective of that I have seen and heard of him is very small as compared to all his history in ministry.

I can say when I heard him on the radio back in the 80's I was impressed by his all out approach. When I get time I will try to listen to what Dom has posted in this thread.

The more we know about men and movements the better our judgements of them can be. If what Consapente has said be true thats good for me to know. Hate to hear of someone I liked being found in darkness but better than being deceived and perhaps unwittingly promoting one to others who needs to find real repentance.
