It's exciting to see how there are parallels between the Red Sea Crossing and the Jordan Crossing.
- Red Sea was divided/Jordan was divided
- Rod opens up Red Sea/Ark's mercyseat opens up Jordan
- Moses met God on holy Ground/Joshua met the Warrior Angel on holy ground
- Passover with blood on doors frees Israel/Rahab puts red cord in window and is saved
And when they Enter Canaan...
The older generation died.
Second circumcision occurred after Israel was disallowed from conducting Passover since their unbelief at Kadesh Barnea 38 years before, and forbiddance for circumcision of children who thereby bore the reproach of Egyptian uncircumcision until their parents who doubted God could take them into the land died off.
Manna ceased and they ate corn of the land.
The people cannot speak a word and march around WALLS as opposed to ten doubting spies whose words about walls spread doubt throughout the nation.
Blood is indicative in the "RED" Sea, and blood on the mercyseat of the Ark opens up Jordan.
The Jordan was where John the Baptist baptized people into a spiritual death of repentance, with the axe being laid to the root of the tree thereby cutting down our entire old lives. It is the demarcation point between the wilderness and the Promised Land. It's where Jesus' ministry was introduced. It's leaving the wilderness as opposed to leaving Egypt at the Red Sea.
All of this extremely high significance that's found here makes GILGAL a camp of great significance from which we must glean understanding of truths that speak of a base of spiritual maturity from which we fight all our battles.
