Litany of supplication

The apostle taught us to pray for "all men", for one another, for himself, for those on his ministry team. He also affirmed that he prayed and always made mention of (you) in his prayers, both individuals and entire churches. And it seems he taught that churches shoould do this as well.

So then, we know most people have a "prayer list" of people they regularly pray for (you all do have one, right?) but does your church have a congregational prayer list?

Meaning, a list of people and churches that the whole congregation prays for when they have congregational prayer together?

We do. As part of our corporate prayer we will go through a list of churches and individuals we pray for. The list is subject to revision as names are added or as specific needs are met, etc.

We find this much easier than just calling for prayer requests and getting 20 some odd requests for various people and then trying to go from memory each meeting. (And yes, we do call for individual prayer requests from anyone present for any need.)

What about you all? Many churches I have been to don't seem to have an organized prayer list for corporate prayer. We find this approach to be a bit haphazard.

If anyone has a suggestion on making this more efficient and effective, please comment.

I remember the prayer requests by memory.

We always pray for one other, especially for any needs concerning the church family and their extended family and friends. We always pray for the country, for the president, and for our communities to see revival. We pray for fellow believers who are being persecuted, and for missionaries we are acquainted with, and for the work of the Lord worldwide to be bold and blessed.

From this time forth heaven shall be as brass above your head and the ground shall be as iron below your feet.

And so shall it be for anyone who prays for you.

For all the days of your life.

So be it!

Seeing that I am filled with HIS Spirit my prayers or unhindered by anything above and below...Christ is with me always.

Re: Litany of supplication

we have a jar for prayer requests that we leave out for reference for times of corporate prayer.

also a lady from the church takes daily prayer requests by text, and sends them out to the church

I use my facebook friends list as a prayer list daily, just pull it up and see the faces of the pastors, missionaries, church members, family members, coworkers, and pray for them.
