UPCI New HQ Building Dedication and Ribbon Cutting

At the UPCI Facebook page link below you can scroll down and see the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new UPCI headquarters building in St. Louis that happened today and a little further down the page the one hour five minute video of the dedication service from March 2, 2017.

Congratulations to my UPCI friends. From what I have seen it is a beautiful building and I understand was bought at a bargain price.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

It is really pretty and they definitely had the favor of God on the financial part. I'm happy for them; the other one was really run down.

I am sure I have seen pictures but then is all I have ever seen of the one they just left! I do remember seeing pictures of this last place when I was a young boy and it was pretty much brand new then.

I lived within a couple miles of the 8855 Dunn road for most of the 80's thru 91. Might have been there 3 times total including the one trip to the book store. Knew/know several that worked there. Amazing how names and faces have changed and many gone now.

Re: UPCI New HQ Building Dedication and Ribbon Cut

I may not be remembering the numbers correctly but I think this building is a $17+ million dollar building they got for $6 million. In this day of real estate costs that seems indeed a bargain and a building that should serve them for many decades to come.

One thing I have not seen anywhere is whether or not this building has more footage than they need and will they be able to lease footage to help pay for the building. Does anybody know the answer to this?
