A Comforting Thought

In every change, He remains the same.

Will you share a simple word of encouragement?

Yes, pray for our new leader, like Paul instructed us to do.

Re: A Comforting Thought

The Lord sees suffering, disappointments, trials, tribulations, sickness, heartache, loss and hardship as blessings through which He can purge us of unnecessary fleshly things, and bring us forth as silver and gold tried in the fire.

1 Peter 1:7
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Re: A Comforting Thought

I don't have to understand everything. I can trust Him with all my heart and do my level best to acknowledge Him in all my ways knowing that He will direct me. He understands every situation far better than I because He is omniscient and I am not. I find that very comforting as middle age passes and old age creeps closer.

Re: A Comforting Thought

The wall Nehemiah helped and had built under terrible pressure and even persecution at first looked meager, even pathetic. And yet, even though on the outside, by all appearances it was ready to fall, that wall inspired a nation to get back on its feet, to rebuild the temple and bring orderly worship of YHWH back to Jerusalem, where God chose to place His name forever, and so, that wall allowed them all to see the prophetic promises of the Holy Scriptures unfold before their very eyes.

What then in your life have you built for God that right now looks meager, even pathetic, and by all outward appearances seems ready to fall?

If the good hand of God was upon you to build it, as It was upon Nehemiah way back when, worry not. It will inspire others and God will use it to bring Himself the worship He deserves.
