Not a national holiday, but worth remembering the worst attack on our military within US borders. A day that will live in infamy. Today marks the 75th anniversary.

That infamous day had a profound impact on our family, our nation, and our future. My wife's uncle was a Pearl that day. He thought it was a drill until he saw the "meat ball" on those wings.
Their generation went through a depression in their youth and then a world war right when they would be starting out in a career or in college. They took it without complaint. I really miss them. I think God put a material blessing upon them for it.
I read an account in the most recent Readers' Digest of a man who survived Pearl Harbor, an incredible story of survival. May we never forget this very tragic day in our history.
