Seething a Kid in its Mother's Milk?
What does this mean? You can go search the phrase, and get many returns for it; some go on for pages. Literal theses, that go on at length, about what seething a kid in its mother's milk is not. Not saying that there isn't one that is correct, but i haven't found it yet.
The Book is teaching lessons to you, full of knowledge for you, and it is you who is being cautioned, 3 times, not to seethe a kid in its mother's milk. And the symbolism for all of the terms, "seething, kid, mother, and milk," are all so obviously apparent, to even a God 101 student, that they do not even need to be repeated here, do they?

Re: Seething a Kid in its Mother's Milk?
Ok, i found one pitched to "Parents," and not "Shepherds," but we can work with this. Let's look at the opening:
Quote:
An apostate is a person who has been exposed to the truth, and rejects the truth, and teaches a distortion of the truth.
|
"In the beginning was the Bible, and the Bible was with God, and the Bible was God"
Quote:
The progression of the apostate is outlined in Romans 1: 21-25:
1. When confronted with the truth of whom God is, they are not thankful, but rather reject the revelation of God. “Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened." (Romans 1:21)
2. They become arrogant, unteachable and fall into the category of fools. “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.” (Romans 1:22)
3. A pantheistic view of Deity begins to develop. “And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.” (Romans 1:23)
4. Since the God of absolute right and wrong is rejected, morals take a serious dive. “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves.” (Romans 1:24)
5. They twist the truth and worship themselves. “Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, Who is blessed for ever. Amen.” (Romans 1: 25)
The apostate is one "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (II Timothy 3:5,7)

And so what is "the Truth," as referred to in these passages? I tell you that simply asking a leader what or where the Truth is will tell you whether they are apostates, or not. Because "the Truth" in the Book is plainly stated as "the Word," "Jesus Christ," and "the Gospel," none of which are the Bible, even if They are all describes at length in It, and could even be read--by those with no eyes to see--so that that uncomfortable slander of a passage in the Book, bolded at the beginning of this post, is made correct. Go look.
So, when your potential next Right Pastor answers your question by holding up his Bible, you know you have found an Apostate, who cannot get you any closer to the Truth, because the Bible is not the Word, even while All Scripture is God-breathed, and profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. The link has a great reflection of Tares, also, which we have diluted to weeds now, but are actually "false wheat," that cause a stupor when ingested, which may be contrasted with the reference to those being accused of being drunk in the morning in Acts 2:15 These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It's only nine in the morning! who are quite obviously not being related to Tares.

Quote:
Apostates will weasel their way into churches and proliferate in universities.
The apostate masquerades as a believer, which is why the unsuspecting weak brother or sister is duped into falling under their teaching.
They become the “kid seethed in its mother’s milk.”
Jesus describes the apostate when He says, “…they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch” (Matthew 15:14).
God does not take their wicked deeds lightly. Listen to these words of impending judgment for the apostate:
“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction” (II Peter 2:1).
“For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ” (Jude, verse 4).
The kid is seethed in its mother’s milk…

I wonder if he's cursing us and speaking foul heart-slop after getting off the forum? Guys like that usually curse and swear offscreen.
