The "popular" vote

Already heard this morning about how all those votes were wasted.
Referring to the votes that Hillary is ahead of Trump on.
So, I decided to do my 10 seconds worth of research.
This link shows Hillary roughly 230k votes ahead.

However, it also shows her winning California by about 2.5 million votes.
So, without California she loses the popular vote by 2.25 million votes.
Which shows the wisdom of the founders in establishing the Electoral College to prevent one state from overruling the others.

Re: The "popular" vote

Good point A!

Without the electoral college, the cities of the USA would have taken this election far and away. If you look on the maps of the voting, you see where cities with their population density voted vastly different than the rest of the state did.

The rural people of America finally spoke in this election, and the left is mad about it.

Re: The "popular" vote

Not all rural people voted for DT. We live 15 miles from a town of 4,000. Not under any circumstance would I vote for DT.
