Consequences of not voting

Please explain what you see as the consequences of not voting for either candidate.

I'm tempted to not vote for POTUS and just vote the down ballet.

I strongly dislike both candidates and I feel like Trump does not have much of a chance of winning in any case.

On the other hand, I'm nagged by the thought that voting for the lesser evil and the possibility of a conservative supreme court appointment has merit.

I know this has been discussed in various threads but maybe we can get the relevant concepts all in one place for consideration.

The consequence of not voting is that you have actually voted your conscience, which no one can take away from you.

Re: Consequences of not voting

We just received the absentee ballot form, and there are plenty of other candidates to vote for, who are running for President.

At least be honest. Not casting a vote isn't voting your conscious. It's simply not voting at all. Many Americans don't vote and it's generally because they like neither candidate. But please don't act like you are cating a vote by not voting for anyone.

Any decision a person decides to make, (let's be honest here), is concerning a person's conscience, i.e. personal decision/choice. So, yes, let's be honest.

I don't believe anyone said that NOT casting a vote was casting a vote. It's pretty logical that if you don't vote, you didn't cast a vote - Total no brainer.

Well, again, only one of 2 are actually going to win the office.
I do not want her, so I will vote against her.

Not that I agree with Anna Navarro on everything as she is for Amnesty and I am for rule of law, but she is right here and says much more in the video embed.

"I've got every right to vote my conscience," she said.

"If I have voted for the Republican nominee every single time in my lifetime and this year I feel compelled to be repelled and repulsed and reject that man (Trump), it is my right," Navarro said.

"I was a Republican when he was a Democrat," she said. "I was a Republican when he was an independent. And I'm going to be a Republican when he gets tired of playing this little game."

My concern on voting and electing Trump is that it opens the door for candidates down the road to run with even worse baggage than Donald is known for having at present in the Republican Party. That's is a huge deal breaker for me. It would be better if he lost this election, IMO.

PO I just can't understand. I'm just not that politically minded I suppose. But, are you thinking it will be better if she wins this election?
