Very Sad: James Kirk UPC/ALJC Pastor Dies
Too young, too soon, James Kirk of Christian Life Center in Heath, OH died tragically this week. I believe he was in his mid-late 40s. Word I received was he fell off of a ladder in an awful accident and died from the injuries incurred. I knew James from my years in Ohio. A great guy; good family man; pastored a thriving church of 300-400. Many prayers needed for this family and this church.

I did not know him personally, but we had many mutual friends.
My thoughts and prayers are with his family and church.

I did not know Pastor Kirk but saw this on FB when it happened and his family and church have been in my prayers. Very tragic.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

So sad to hear.
Ladders can be extremely dangerous.
I wonder if he was cleaning gutters?
My heart and prayers go out to this church and family
May God comfort and provide peace.
