Will god always be there?

“Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call you upon him
while He is near: let the wicked forsake his way and the
unrighteous man his thoughts, let him return to the LORD, and
He will have mercy upon him; and to our GOD, for He will
abundantly pardon.”

We are living in the New Testament time of Grace; and God is being
merciful, that we may attain unto His Grace. God has been speaking
to us through His son, Jesus Christ: even through the Gospel, which
is the Lord’s death, burial, and resurrection. But make no mistake.
The worst possible scenario for any living person, is to suffer God’s
silence!

God was silent after Joseph died, and all the Israelites came under
bondage to the Egyptians for over 400 years; God was silent for more
than 400 years, between the time of the prophets Malachi and John
the Baptist, and the Israelites became confused and erred on doctrine
(even though they still had the Law); the Lord did not answer when
Herod the Tetrarch questioned him, and Herod died in his sins.

God speaks to the individual, and He also speaks to the congregation
as a whole (whether to His Church, or to humanity as a whole). God
can therefore keep silent before the individual, before the congregation,
or before the whole world. The Lord spoke to Pontius Pilate’s wife in a
dream, and answered Pilate’s questions: giving him a chance at salvation.
But to Herod, who had John the Baptist beheaded, the Lord uttered not
a word. So the Holy Spirit is speaking to each of us individually, that we
may hear and believe the Gospel, and be saved. But if God did not speak
to the person responsible for John the Baptist’s death, will God hearken
to those who despise the death of His son on the cross? So there surely is
a PERSONAL time coming for those who do not believe and obey, just as
there is coming a time when the whole earth will be judged!

And what is the essence of the Gospel? Listen:
“Repent, and be baptized EVERYONE OF YOU in the NAME of Jesus Christ
for the remission of sins and YOU SHALL receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
