1945 merger PCI files

What became of the files of the PCI after it merged with the other organization to form the UPC ??

Did the PCI still exist in some form after 1945 ?

Any ideas ??

I don't think anything existed after that it took nearly a year from what I understand to put everything in order. I don't know if the UPC has those in their archives or not?
However some men Did renew the PAJC charter and it exist today as a very small group. I have read articles in their paper where both Witherspoon and Urshan were trying to calm many in their group who felt they compromised.

Scott, from the material I have read, it seems if memory serves me right that there were brethren in both groups that did not merge, and kept their original charter.

Re: 1945 merger PCI files

I now have the charter and bylaws, or constitution of the PCI.

I wonder if they produced a ministerial directory ??

Hazelwood has no PCI documents in their archive.

Harry Morse was PCI, so they are my focus.

I do know some did not join never heard they renewed their charter but it could have happened? It is interesting around 51 the first split were former PCI men who formed the IMA? Vanhoose, Kidson, Cootes.

Re: 1945 merger PCI files

Harry Morse also left in 1951, or 1952. But for different reasons.

Those I mentioned were involved in the "Latter Rain" movement.

Those I mentioned did not believe the new birth message but saved at repentance. Thus it made the transition easier.
