I don't remember Trump trying a military coup to take over the government.
I don't remember Trump going to prison for the above.
I don't remember Trump forming a paramilitary force to intimidate his foes.
It diminishes what Hitler did, to compare Trump to him.

Agreed - similar egos, but different ambitions. It's interesting though that his first wife talked about Trump having Hitler's speeches which he read quite often.

I believe this presidential run is something on his bucket list. And I believe that because he is very tall, has a lot of money and is the age that he is, he deserves this without being vetted. I've watched him walk on the stage at the various debates. You get the distinct impression he is used to getting his way.

I'd like to remind him that this is about "WE the People".

I can understand the comparison.

Hitler had to have a certain amount of charisma to get people to follow him, and even more charisma and a certain sense of brutality to keep everyone in line and still following after it became apparent that he was a mad man.

Trump has that same control over his followers.

There has been at least 4 instances of people doing physical violence to other people under the influence of the words of Donald Trump.

How does the argument help you vote for Trump? You don't look at what a person says, take into consideration their values, check their record? That should be your sole consideration for any candidate. Vetting in much more important than being offended by any one poster's views. If you are determining your support by how you feel, please jump on the Trump train. You would fit right in.

I can't think of ANY ACTS OF VIOLENCE that were expressly noted to be in connection with the words of BHO.

To answer your question, no. Just because a person has charisma, it doesn't mean they are comparable to Hitler.

Bill Clinton has more charisma than Trump but Clinton would be a stark contrast to Hitler or Trump.
