Media censors horrendous racial crime (L)

1) The media isn't censoring this terrible act.

2) I heard about this too.

3) Are you going to tell the whole story or continue to FALSELY paint this as a race-oriented crime?

4) The website you linked is PURPOSEFULLY trying to indicate multiple black males as being involved in the crime when indeed it was three friends involved, two white guys and one black guy. The crime was not random and it was not a race-oriented, racial hatred-inspired crime. One or both of the guys was trying to edge the black guy on to a fight, in apparent frustration of their situation (broken down car, stranded, etc). This doesn't make the actions of the black male right, but he was "pushed" and IF he had done this in Florida, he might have a self-defense case, given the entire situation. The fact that this happened in the LIBERAL state of Maryland, he might just have to cut some kind of plea deal to avoid an attempted murder conviction, if he is even offered that option.

5) The website you linked also referred to another violent crime where a teenage white girl was murdered, but it FALSELY connects 17 young black males to her murder. In reality, none of the 17 black males arrested had anything to do with her murder. You sure wouldn't be able to tell that from the headline on their link.

If he had went fist-to-cuffs like his friends were trying to make him do, and in the process nearly beat one of them to death, would he still be charged with attempted murder?

They WANTED a physical fight.

He upped the ante and he almost killed two people who were his friends.

The whole thing is terrible.

Yes I know how the media is spinning this. It, like similar attacks, was censored by the national media. Local media covered it. Had the racial roles been reversed it would be the lead story for weeks and Al Sharpton would be leading protests. The fact that black by-standers filmed this without assisting these men is deplorable as well.

Understand my criticisms are not aimed at all black people. Mainly I am disgusted with the media coverage of racial crime in this country. The double standard is the white elephant in the room.

The perpetrator was attacked first.

As far as I know, Maryland does not have a, "Stand Your Ground" law on the books.

The perpetrator is in jail without bond.

I have mixed feelings on this. Like I said, as horrendous as this is, had this happened in Florida, the perpetrator wouldn't (or atleast shouldn't) be in jail, based on the, "Stand Your Ground" law.

He was attacked by one man. In response, he doused the attacker with gasoline and lit him on fire. The attacker (now on fire) panicked and ran into another man who was holding a gas container. That man who was holding a gas container caught on fire, but not as a result of the actions of the guy who set his attacker on fire initially.
