Pollsters: Don't trust us to winnow GOP field

Networks' use of polls for debate entry comes at a time of increasing doubts about their accuracy.

Zukin warned that polling has become increasingly unreliable because Americans are harder to reach — nearly half of adults are unreachable on a landline phone — and roughly nine in 10 are unwilling to participate in surveys even when pollsters manage to contact them. The declining response rates, Zukin says, create a situation in which true public feelings are more difficult than ever to discern.

Look at this new poll that has come out and pay attention to what they are doing here.

Let's assess:

It is heavily weighted towards the Democrats, although this is a Republican Primary.

1. The poll is showing 1001 adults
2. We don't know the ages
3. Using landlines and cellular
4. 423 "Lean" Republican.

What does "Lean" Republican mean? It means they are not "registered" Republicans!

So the poll is bogus:

30% Democrats
24% "LEAN" Republicans
39% Independents

69% WERE NOT Republicans!!

Also notice the margin of error increases when "Lean" Republicans are included - 3.5 for full and 5.5 on "leaned" Republicans. If they wanted an HONEST poll, they would be calling REGISTERED REPUBLICANS!

Matt Bevin wins in Kentucky. He now has a better seat than Mitch McConnell - for anyone who followed that Senate race. LOL!

So, the POLLING had Matt Bevin down by 5 points, yet, he wins with a 9 point lead.
