God bless the USA
I am not proud of some current supreme court rulings, but I do want to thank God for this land in which I live. I know there is still good in this nation. Our pursuit of fairness and equality may sometimes be advantageous for the ungodly. I would rather the freedom to choose than to try and dictate the gospel to others.
I am thankful to live in a country where I can wake up tomorrow and go to church; to freely worship my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We as Christians so many times don't take advantage of the liberties we have in this nation. Many professing Christians will stay up late tonight drinking and playing, but tomorrow will miss out on such a great liberty. The freedom of religion. To go to church and worship God.
Things may not be perfect and they may worsen, but in everything we should give thanks. The greatest liberty ever given was by the power of the Holy Ghost. The power over sin and death.

Re: God bless the USA
God has indeed given us much to be thankful for. Which is why we are currently under his judgment - we have used liberty for an occasion to the flesh. Liberty, when abused, becomes licentiousness. And licentiousness leads to wrath.
God has been stripping away the blessings, bit by bit, and will continue to do so until the nation cries out in earnest, genuine repentance.
And ... it doesn't always take a majority...

This country has been mightily blessed by God, and it greatly saddens me to see the multitudes of people who live with the blessings, but don't appreciate them.

Don't worry, this country will not be blessed until they turn back to Godly principles and precepts. Of which they are not going to for a while.
This country is on a cycle of judgment and the cycle will go on until repentence.

If it leads to repentance than that is blessing. It is the mercy of God that gives us the opportunity to repent, but I agree with what you are saying. I started this thread because of Americans such as yourself who still believe in morality and want this country to stay on the right path.

As previously stated on another thread, I believe it's too late for the country, as a whole.
I believe the Lord will definitely bless the individual that repents...but no coattails
salvation are accepted, even as there is no "deathbed" repentance.

Do you have a word from God that America has gone past the point of possible repentance?
If individuals can repent, then so can the nation. A nation is, after all, nothing but a collection of individuals, in commonwealth with one another...

The nation did repent with Jonah and as for Moses and Samuel? I believe it was Josiah that found the law and had the whole nation of Israel to repent. You may be correct about our nation, but I don't want to give up on it. We need to pray for the Lord to place leaders in the government with fear of the Lord.
