Does God help when we make bad choices?

I'm not referring to the David and Bathsheba kind of stuff. I mean poor planning, bad decision, indecision, procrastination, etc that end up causing us major stress and problems in our lives.

I know we do suffer the consequences of our actions/inaction, but when does God say, "That's enough" and come to our aid?

Yes, He does help.

If it is God's will for your illness then why are you seeking medical attention to get rid of it?

When we ask Him in prayer.

Re: Does God help when we make bad choices?

If my people, which are called by my name, will humble themselves, and seek my face...

Yes of course O! The Lord never turns his face from a repentant heart full of humility, and remorse... and even as a father who chastens a child for their wrong deeds, still loves them, and wants the best for them, and is able to turn a difficult situation into something beautiful. Don't despair, wherever you are at, and what you are going through. Read the Beatitudes again.... blessed are the poor in spirit! The Lord's blessings many times come disguised in sorrow.

Praying that whoever this was written for... will know... the hand of God is always merciful, and His love unfailing.

I think when we go out on our own and make our own bad decisions, He is still with us and will protect us to a degree, but I don't believe he helps change the circumstances completely till we ask.

Jude 21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22 And of some have compassion , making a difference : 23 And others save with fear, pulling [them] out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.
