Ferguson - Justice but No Peace
Even after a Grand Jury cleared Officer Wilson. Even after the Justice Department stated the "hands up, don't shoot" mantra was based on lies, and again cleared Officer Wilson. Even after a Court clerk was fired and two Police Officers and a Judge who oversaw the court system resigned. Even after the City Manager resigned. Even after the Police Chief resigned.
Even after all this. The bloodthirsty crowd still isn't satisfied. Two officers were shot by a coward likely hiding in a nearby house.
They claim to want Justice. They chant, "No Justice, No Peace." Yet, even after Justice has been affirmed, there is no peace.
I was shocked and dismayed with the show of force by the county police in the days after the shooting. The video and still photos of officers clad in camo and armed with automatic rifles and driving armored vehicles were frightening.
After last night, I don't care anymore. Protestors better beware. Any kind of aggressive action against the police from now on should be responded to with brutal force.
"No Justice, No Peace." That's a lie. There was Justice, yet still they won't allow peace.

In some cases, this is the fact and the media and others show pictures of these thugs when they were cute little kids and talk about him as though he were perfect but they were thugs...punks.

Re: Ferguson - Justice but No Peace
A young man was arrested and confessed to shooting the cops, but just like the chief of the St. Louis Police indicated before the arrest, the shooter may not have been intentionally shooting at the cops.
By the way, the young man was not from Ferguson.
The shooting was allegedly in retalliation for a theft.

Many of the trouble makers are not from Ferguson. Allot of the people there seem to be good.

I heard that on the radio. I don't buy it, but we'll have to see what a jury does with it.

Yeah, right. And I have oceanfront property in Phoenix selling for $1. The Jury isn't going to believe him. I hope he's put in for life w/out parole.

Re: Ferguson - Justice but No Peace
This young man was not part of the protests apparently, but I did read where some of the protesters thought they recognized him.
This guy is not from Ferguson, and hasn't been charged with anything that will put him away for life.

He received two charges for assault in the first degree. The Missouri statute states:
Quote:
565.050. 1. A person commits the crime of assault in the first degree if he attempts to kill or knowingly causes or attempts to cause serious physical injury to another person.
2. Assault in the first degree is a class B felony unless in the course thereof the actor inflicts serious physical injury on the victim in which case it is a class A felony.
|
The officers were inflicted with serious physical injuries, which should result in a class A felony. There are two charges. The minimum is 10 years (each charge) up to life. If somehow he pleads down to a Class B felony, it's still a maximum of 15 years (each charge).
Add to this his prior record which, depending on Missouri law comes close to the 3 strikes rule. (Missouri calls it "Prior and Persistent Offender")
And regarding the protestors not knowing him. These are the same people who claimed MB had his hands up, surrendering when he was shot.
Forgive me if I don't trust what they say since they've lied before.
