Federal tyranny in Alaska
Alaska fell to the forces of gay marriage today. Let us pray that the sovereign States rise up and subdue the oppressor.
Had anyone brought a case against a State in 1869 over the issue of gay marriage, Federal judges at the time , with the arguments surrounding the ratification of the 14th Amendment fresh in their memories, would not have even heard the case! This is not a moral issue. This is a Constitutional issue. If you want gay marriage to be legal in every state, you have two options. 1) appeal to the collective conscious of the voters of each State to make it legal. 2) Call for a Constitution convention to consider amending the Federal Constitution.
By the thinking of many reading this, the 14th amendment should have settled the issue of women's suffrage. But it did not. The Constitution had to be amended for that to happen.
